Without an error code, what counts is what you hear, see and measure.
More modern appliances display an error code when there is a fault. It rarely names the cause, but it usefully narrows down the direction. Systems with an analogue controller have none of that: no display, no fault memory, no interface.
Then the fault is narrowed down using measurements and experience.
Do you repair my make too?
Yes. At its core, every oil and gas appliance works the same way: bring fuel and air together in the right ratio, ignite, transfer the heat to the heating water, safely remove the flue gas — and control and monitor the whole process. This chain is the same at Buderus as at Viessmann, Junkers, Weishaupt, Bosch, Wolf or Vaillant.

Are spare parts still available for my appliance?
For older model series, the supply of spare parts is often patchy. Where this is foreseeable, we advise sticking to wear parts — ignition and ionisation electrodes, seals, circulation pump, expansion vessel. These parts are easy to obtain and keep the system running with manageable effort.
On the other hand, we advise against a major repair if parts are scarce. After an extensive repair, nobody can say when the next component will fail. If exactly that part is then no longer available, the replacement is due anyway — and the repair was paid for in vain.
What can be obtained, we obtain: via manufacturers, wholesalers and spare parts services, often also via the identical variant from another make. If the parts situation is hopeless, you will hear it from us before you spend any money.
